The make-up inspiration for Vivienne Tam’s Spring 2016 collection in New York was pure natural, dewy and Californian, according to the lead MAC makeup artist, Maud Laceppe. Quite a few fake tattoos were painted on to the models on their hands, wrists and necks, which added to the street look.

Many of the models wore head wraps to keep their hair close to their head during the diffusing process. In the end, after the wraps were removed, it appeared that the models had gelled down mullets. Men also sported extreme gelled down styling. Kerastase products were used to give them a slicked, surfer look.
