The annual Northwestern Mutual Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in Brooklyn features a four-team single elimination tournament over the span of two evenings. A consolation game precedes the title match, which means that one school is unfortunately winless for the weekend.
That school was Temple University, which struggled against Duke – losing 74-54 – before contesting a closer battle against UNLV in the consolation game, leading after the first half and by as many as seven points, then succumbing 57-50 after shooting just 15.2 percent in the second.
