July 9, 2014, Kastles Stadium at the George Washington University Smith Center, Washington, D.C. – The Washington Kastles (3-0) opened their 2014 season at the indoor court of the GW Smith Center for the first time, playing against the winless Boston Lobsters (0-3).
The defending Mylan World TeamTennis champions overwhelmed the Lobsters and won in all five matches in Mixed Doubles (5-1), Women Singles (5-0), Men’s Singles (5-1), Women’s Doubles (5-2) and Men’s Doubles (5-4). The Kastles won a total of 116 points to 76 for the Lobsters.
With this victory, the Kastles have now won 15 straight matches, following a record-setting 34-match win streak set last year.
