Jenny Packham delivered an achingly gorgeous collection of floaty dresses and gossamer separates that caressed the body like a dream. At her show for New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014, models glided down the runway with big, curly teased-out ‘fros, complementing the mashup of ’70s pussy-bow blouses and wide-leg trousers with Edwardian touches of silk faille and dainty embellishment. The palette ranged from whispered blushes and mints to vibrant rubies and royal blues; the hemlines stayed in constant motion around ankles and knees. Like the giant jewel-toned flowers the models carried as clutches, everything seemed in bloom, flourishing to its prime right before the eye.
