Designer Max Azria’s inspiration for this season’s Herve Leger collection came from equestrian harnesses, which translated into bondage-like leather vests tightly stretched around hips and shoulders. Dresses featured the luxurious detailing the line is best known for, and those details were used to trace surgically precise lines. The tight silhouettes were sometimes broken up by fur (with sleeves and a comfy looking vest) and tassels. One standout example was a dress covered in tasseled fishscales. However, the overall styling supported a body-conscious, anatomic aesthetic.
