Imitation of Christ’s Tara Subkoff introduced a collaboration – referred to simply as Imitation – with Doyle Mueser Bespoke, a label consisting of New York-based tailors Amber Doyle and Jake Mueser. The concept took menswear suiting and reformed it as womenswear. The result is a that best resembled Boardwalk Empire’s Atlantic City style or a Wong-Kar Wai film strained through a hipster’s eye. Pinstriped double breasted coats were employed as full dresses, vests were dropped to ankle length and skirts were slit dangerously high.
