As part of New York Design Week, Areaware – which champions American design products such items for the office and home – and the Rachel Comey fashion boutique co-presented the Dazzled exhibit by KangHee Kim. (photo by Yanek Che / Meniscus Magazine)
According to a statement released by Areaware about Kim’s works: “The installation centers on a common household form—the drying rack—and points to the curious relationship shared by darkroom photography and handmade clothing: the need to hang-dry. Using photographs shot on site at Rachel Comey and images from her series, Street Errands, Kim has created a playful installation mirroring the interior architecture of Comey’s boutique.” (photo by Yanek Che / Meniscus Magazine)
KangHee Kim is a photographer and artist based in Brooklyn. Earlier this year she worked with Areaware and VSCO®, an art and technology company, on a series called Puzzle in Puzzle. (photo by Yanek Che / Meniscus Magazine)
