Label: Leisure Project (also sometimes referred to as Leisure Project Store, founded in 2012). The label has gained a lot of traction in 2016, having hit the streets and shops of Seoul and Tokyo, as well as Harbin and Paris Fashion Weeks.
Designer: Nattapon Kanokvaleewong, who studied at Central Saint Martins in London.
Spring/Summer 2016 collection title: “Home Coming”
Our take: The Leisure Project Store Spring 2016 collection was the strongest of the four that showed as part of a “Fresh Faces” ELLE & ELLE MEN Fashion Week Thailand collective show (that included labels Janesuda, Q DESIGN AND PLAY and TandT). “Home Coming” is a casual, nautically-inspired men’s collection that smartly and confidently steps on the brakes just short of being too preppy. Stripes were used effectively throughout, particularly in the finale featuring a parade of robes constructed out of Japanese cotton.
